🤝Why Partners collaborate with MVIF

MVIF works closely with institutions, foundations, and companies that support the microbiome field. Here are their reflections on partnering with us.

Working with MVIF has been valuable for Roche because it provides a unique platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing within the microbiome field. The insights and connections gained through MVIF have significantly contributed to our understanding and progress in this area. We appreciate the opportunity to partner with you!

Dr. Petar Scepanovic, Principal Scientist, Roche Innovation Center Basel, Switzerland

Seerave Foundation is delighted to partner with the Microbiome Virtual International Forum, an innovative initiative that makes cutting-edge microbiome research accessible to scientists worldwide through regular virtual conferences, eliminating geographical barriers, reducing environmental impact, and still creating meaningful interactions and fostering scientific networks.

Dr. Laura Mählmann, Science & Collaboration Lead, Seerave Foundation

As the Dean of the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy, I am honored to support the Microbiome Virtual International Forum (MVIF). Sponsoring MVIF, and the exposure it provides to thousands of participants worldwide, has enhanced our international reputation and positioned our school as a leader in microbiome research and education. The forum's focus on advancing microbiome science through a free, globally accessible venue for timely dissemination of high-quality research, by and for researchers of all career stages, aligns with our mission to promote and sustain healthier populations in New York City and around the world through excellence in education, research, and service in public health. I look forward to our continuing collaboration.

Dr. Ayman El-Mohandes, MBBCh, MD, MPH - Dean, CUNY Graduate School of Public Health & Health Policy, New York, USA

MVIF was great place for sharing my research and learning advances in the field from other people

Nikolay Oskolkov, staff scientist, Lund University

I had the experience of presenting my lab's project at MVIF and follow the other speakers presentation. It was a very interesting experience. I like the interactivity of the event, with interesting questions raised that we can upvote. It was also a great opportunity to know what great projects are running worldwide and listen to the scientists behind these projects.

I love being part of the MVIF community and receiving steady monthly input of microbiome knowledge!

Svetlana UP, Post-doctoral fellow, University of Trento

As an Outreachy intern just beginning my journey, discovering the Microbiome Virtual International Forum (MVIF) feels both inspiring and empowering. MVIF stands out to me as a space where global collaboration meets inclusivity, and that really matters to me personally. Coming from an underrepresented background in tech and science, it’s rare to find communities that are not only scientifically rich but also deeply committed to accessibility, mentorship, and shared learning.
MVIF represents more than just a forum—it symbolizes opportunity, connection, and the breaking down of barriers in microbiome research. It gives early-career scientists like me the chance to learn from diverse perspectives, contribute our own, and grow together with a supportive community. I'm genuinely excited to engage, learn, and give back. 💚

I wanna build a career but i find this challenging and i hope i will get some guidance to start from scratch. I am just lost on how to start for a beginner, and MVIF helps.

Thank you for all your work. MVIF is the blueprint for making science accessible and provides a great opportunity for trainees to present their research.

Anonymous Post-doctoral fellow

it is fantastic to be able to be included in a community of scientists and hear the news about the microbiome field regardless of travel allowance and time (to participate in conferences physically). Kudos to MVIF!

CIBIO Post-doctoral fellow

I find MVIF a precious resource as it allows to access to a wide range of fascinating and inspiring talks, while also creating opportunities to connect with fellow researchers and explore diverse areas within microbiome science. Its user-friendly format and broad scope make it easy to discover topics that match your interests and stay current with the latest publications and emerging research trends. The virtual format, along with recorded sessions, adds even more value by allowing participants to engage at their own pace, regardless of scheduling conflicts.
